Last Friday marked a proud milestone for the Gwydir community with the official opening of the new Bingara Administration Building.
Guests heard from Mayor, Tiffany Galvin and General Manager, Leeah Daley, who reflected on the vision, resilience and commitment that brought the project to life.
Former General Manager, Max Eastcott was acknowledged for his leadership and determination in helping lay the foundations for the project.
Special mention was also made of Shay Brennan Constructions, the building team, along with Council’s Building Services Manager, Colin Cuell, for their professionalism, dedication and work in delivering the project.
The speeches also recognised the importance of preserving local history through the restoration of the historic Memorial Hall façade, ensuring its legacy remains at the heart of the community.
The new building now brings together Council staff and essential community services under one roof in a modern, welcoming and functional space.
Thank you to the former and current Councillors, staff, contractors and community members who helped make this incredible project possible, and to everyone who joined us to celebrate this special occasion.
