New England MP Barnaby Joyce has questioned the $31 Billion blow out of the Inland Rail announced by Infrastructure Minister Katherine King.
Speaking on STA FM yesterday, Mr Joyce says when he questioned Minister King in Parliament on Tuesday about the figure and the five largest amounts contributing to the blow out, she could not give a straight answer but blamed the former Deputy Prime Minister for the cost blow out.
Mr Joyce says with the announcement of the Inland rail stopping at Parkes, the government continues to pour money into the southern rail loop in Melbourne and still wants to build the Sydney Newcastle Fast Train.
He believes the $31 Billion blow out reported by the government is rubbish and a lie.
