Uralla Shire council and Uralla Rotary Club are searching for any community organisation will to deliver the annual Thunderbolt’s Festival on behalf of the community.
It follows news that Uralla Rotary Club can no longer lead the coordination and delivery of the festival, and Council is also unable to assume responsibility for running the event.
Council says Thunderbolt’s Festival is a much‑loved, community‑driven event celebrating Uralla’s history and the legend of the “gentleman bushranger”, Captain Thunderbolt.
First held in 1998, the festival features a street parade, live entertainment, market stalls and family fun in Alma Park each October.
Interested parties considering taking over the running of the festival are asked to either email council@uralla.nsw.gov.au or call the Council Office on 6778 6300 by 7 June.
