Hawks Hold On at Tingha

by | May 4, 2026 | Sport

Inverell Hawks have prevailed over the Tingha Tigers in a tough encounter at Bob Ward Oval on Saturday in Round 4 results in the Group 19 Rugby League competition.

The Tigers had the chance to level scores late in the game but the try conversion missed which saw the Hawks hang onto a 22-20 win.

Hawks coach Jamie McCormack says poor discipline with the ball allowed the Tigers back into the game after being in control with 20 minutes to go adding they’re lucky to escape with the two points.

In the other weekend games, the Uralla Tigers travelled to Glen Innes and delivered a strong performance, coming away with an impressive 30–10 victory to remain undefeated while Guyra secured a 34-28 win over the Barrba Bulldogs.
