With daylight saving over, Uralla Shire Council has amended the times when lawn and garden watering are permitted under Level 2 water restrictions.
Residents on town water in either Uralla or Bundarra can now water either between 6 and 8am or 4 and 6pm on alternate days using a hand‑held hose fitted with a trigger nozzle.
Even-numbered houses can water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays while odd-numbered house on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays but Council stress no watering can be undertaken on Mondays.
Mayor Robert Bell says with river levels continuing to decline, it’s important they act early and responsibly to manage their water resources, adding Level 2 restrictions will help slow demand and put them in a stronger position moving forward.
