A driver is lucky to be alive after a caravan jacknifed on the Nullamanna Rd on Monday night, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
About 7pm, a vehicle towing a caravan was travelling on an uneven section of Nullamanna Road, Inverell causing the caravan to jackknife and the vehicle to roll.
The driver was assisted from the vehicle before the vehicle caught fire.
The driver was treated for facial injuries and a concussion before being conveyed to Armidale Hospital for further treatment.
Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage of either incident to contact Inverell Police Station on 67220599.
Police are reminding all road users to slow down and drive to the conditions.
