Gwydir Shir Council wishes to advise Warialda residents that a temporary Level 4 Water Restriction is now in place due to an unexpected mechanical failure at the Saleyards Bore. Council’s Water
Operations team is currently investigating the issue and working to restore reservoir levels as quickly as possible.
What this means for residents:
• The use of hand held hoses is permitted for 15 minutes only, between 8pm and 10pm daily
• All micro sprays and fixed sprinklers are not permitted for use
• Washing of vehicles is permitted with buckets only
• Topping up of swimming pools is permitted for 15 minutes only, between 8pm and 10pm daily
• Filling of swimming pools is not permitted
These restrictions are temporary and will only remain in place until crews diagnose the failure and undertake the necessary repairs.
