It’s the Busy End of Local Cricket

by | Feb 13, 2026 | Sport

The battle for the minor premiership continues in the Inverell Cricket Competition with Staggy Creek meeting Campbell and Freebairn Rebels at McCosker 2 tomorrow

Staggy was displaced from top spot on the ladder last week by Glen Innes but do have an extra game in hand and will be keen to knock over Rebels and reclaim top spot.

In the other Round 13 game, the battle for fourth spot heats up with Delungra facing Square and Compass at Varley Oval.

A Compass victory would almost secure the finals berth but Delungra will be out to keep their finals aspirations alive.

Meantime on Sunday, Inverell’s rep cricket team play in the War Veterans T20 finals series on Sunday, taking on North Tamworth Redbacks in semi-final 1.

The winner of that game will play the winner of the Old Boys Stars vs Narrabri semi with the final to be played Sunday evening at No1 Oval.
