Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan vented his frustration on the floor of State parliament last week in relation to the lack of doctors serving emergency department in his electorate.
It follows reports of no doctors present at Moree and Inverell hospitals over lengthy periods over recent months.
Mr Moylan says virtual care, which is currently laptop on a trolley, is no substitute for a real doctor.
The local MP says regional families living in NSW deserve the same access to a doctor in an emergency department as people living in Sydney
He says it’s not fair to patients, their families or to our nurses in the hospitals, adding we deserve better.
