Two people allegedly involved in the spate of crime in Inverell on Monday have been arrested and faced court yesterday
Inverell police say a 2026 silver Toyota Hilux utility and a white Toyota Camry believed to have been stolen from Moree were used in the crime spree which started with a police pursuit around Delungra before incidents at the Inverell Terrace Motor Lodge and Twin Swans Motel.
Just after 5am, three unknown persons exited the stolen silver Toyota Hilux utility parked across from the Terrace Motor Lodge and kicked five doors in causing damage to the doors and locks before moving onto Twin Swans where offenders have used physical force against a motel room door to break-in and steal the victim’s car keys and driven away in a white Haval.
The silver Toyota Hilux utility was located by police at the corner of Brewery & Short St Inverell with the driver’s seat on fire while the Haval was located at an address in Moree on Tuesday.
Teenage males aged 17 and 18 year were arrested on Wednesday fronted court yesterday.
Police investigations are continuing to identify all person involved.
