All is in readiness for Australia Day activities for Monday as Aussies prepare to celebrate what’s great about our country.
Inverell Shire activities will centre on Victoria Park on Monday morning with celebrations kicking off at 7:30 with entertainment, the Awards presentation and an address from the Australia Day Ambassador, media personality Emma Rossi which will then be followed by Australia day celebrations in Tingha at the Sport and Recreation Club at 6pm.
Bingara’s celebrations will be held at the swimming pool between 10 and 2pm with award winning filmmaker and author Anupam Sharma as the Australia Day Ambassador while celebrations in Warialda will be held at the showgrounds between 7:30 and 10am
Glen Innes will celebrate Australia Day at the Glen Innes & District services Club from 10:30 with morning tea and entertainment followed by the official ceremony from 11:30am to be attended by media personality, mathematician and author Dr Clio Cresswell
