AFL Northwest has released its 2026 draw with the season to commence on the 11th of April with five clubs fielding both a men’s and women’s teams.
AFL Northern NSW Community Football & Competition Manager Brad Greenshields says the 2026 season promises to be a great one for both the men’s and women’s competitions with a grand final rematch in Tamworth between reigning premiers, the Tamworth Swans and the Inverell Saints, kicking off the season.
Other season highlights include Indigenous Rounds being played in May across Rounds 5 & 6, Pride Round on June 28 and the women’s Grand Final rematch between Inverell and Gunnedah in Round 3.
The program for the Junior Gala Days has also been finalized with Inverell to host its gala day on Sunday, June 28
