Two men have been convicted and sentenced following a break in at the Inverell Aquatic Centre in April this year.
A 26-year-old man Hayden Ledger was sentenced by Inverell Local Court in July to a 2-year Intensive Correction Order and 2 years of Treatment programs while his 20-year assailant Tyrone Gordon was given a 12-month Community Corrections Order, 50-hour community service and 12 months of a Treatment program earlier this month.
Both offenders had spent time on remand prior to sentencing.
Their convictions follow a break-in at the Aquatic Centre on the 22nd of April where the two offenders gained entry to the facility whilst the building was closed and an amount of property including electronic devices were stolen.
