by | Nov 17, 2025 | Sport | 0 comments

An all-round performance from Aaron Sherritt has guided Glen Innes to a 7 wicket win over Square and Compass at King George Oval on Saturday in Round 5 results in the Inverell Cricket Competition.

Doing the damage with the ball claiming 4/21 in dismissing Square & Compass for 143, Sherritt scored an unbeaten 74 to guide his team to victory in the 30th over.

The match between Staggy Creek and Delungra was transferred from Varley Oval to Cameron Park due to heavy rain on Friday night making conditions quite wet.

Batting first, Delungra were dismissed for 102 in the 27th over and in reply, the defending champs made light work of the run chase, reaching the target in the 18th over with openers Tom Nelson with an unbeaten knock of 67 and Rohan Guest holding up the other end with 28 not out.

Meantime, the Connolly Cup Representative match between Inverell and Moree at Varley Oval yesterday was abandoned due to storm activity over the weekend with Inverell travelling to Bingara to take on Gwydir this Sunday.
