New England MP Barnaby Joyce maybe in hot water following accusations he yelled at a female staff member whilst trying to seek leave to attend the funeral of former Tenterfield Shire Mayor Toby Smith.
Sky News Australia revealed Mr. Joyce walked into the office of Nationals Whip Michelle Landry on Wednesday, where a senior female staff member requested, he fill out a form to lodge his leave, to which Mr. Joyce complained about the process and the Nationals party.
It’s understood a confrontation occurred between the two where it’s alleged the former Deputy Prime Minister raised his voice at the staff member before leaving for Question Time.
The Staff Member has raised Mr. Joyce’s behavior with the Parliamentary Workplace Support Service which can punish MPs for bad behaviour.
Mr Joyce’s office says Barnaby does not agree with the allegations.
In comes following Mr. Joyce’s announcement that he will not be contesting the next federal election and his belief that the Party no longer want him.
