New England MP Barnaby Joyce believes the National Party don’t want him around and his relationship with current leader David Littleproud is ineffectual.
It follows Mr Joyce’s decision not to contest the next federal election but made it clear his future was still up in the air.
Speaking on STA FM yesterday, Mr Joyce says his party asked for transition to get behind Mr Littleproud but made it abundantly clear that he wasn’t part of their future.
Mr Joyce says the option to move to One Nation is still open but hasn’t made that decision adding there’s no need to rush a decision with the next federal election two years away.
He says his National Party colleagues have made their decision about him so it’s not guaranteed he’ll stick with them in the lead up to the next election.
