Two 15-year-olds have been arrested following the theft of a Holden Captiva which was stolen from a Howard Street address on Saturday night.
The vehicle was later involved in a pursuit in Grafton during the early hours of Sunday morning.
One young person was arrested by Grafton Police and will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act for being carried in conveyance without consent of owner while the other teen was arrested at an Inverell address yesterday afternoon and charged with being carried in conveyance without consent of owner.
The youth will appear in Grafton Children’s Court on the 17th of October after being granted strict conditional bail.
Inverell police are continuing investigations into this matter including the involvement of a further 2 young persons.
Meanwhile, investigations are continuing into the theft of car keys for three vehicles which were also stolen from a residence in Davey Street.
