Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan has taken to the floor of state parliament this week to speak about the Opposition’s Youth Crime Bill.
Mr Moylan says rural and regional communities are living the current crime problem adding they’ve taken it upon themselves to voice their concerns to politicians.
The Local MP says this is a good bill but admits it’s a bill that won’t instantly fix youth crime overnight adding the issue is a multi-faceted problem that has been in the regions for many years.
He says with the recent stabbing incidents in Moree and in Grafton this week, this should send a clear message to the parliament that there is a serious problem with youth crime in Regional NSW.
