The Tingha Tigers have advanced to this Sunday’s Group 19 Rugby League Grand Final after disposing of the Uralla Tigers 38-20 in yesterday’s Preliminary Final at Bob Ward oval.
Following a close tussle in the first half, the Tigers went into half-time 12-10 up before running away in the second half to record a big win.
Tigers Captain Brayden Vickery says he was thrilled with the win and now will focus on taking down the Inverell Hawks in the big dance on Sunday.
In other preliminary final results, Moree Boomerangs upset Glen Innes Magpies 12-6 in Ladies League Tag, in Juniors Uralla accounted for the Inverell Hawks 34-18, while extra time was required in Reserve grade with the Boomerangs knocking over the Hawks 30-24.
This Sunday’s Grand Final at Varley oval will see Tingha Tigers face the Moree Boomerangs in Ladies League Tag, Glen Innes tackle Uralla in Juniors, Warialda play the Boomerangs in Reserve grade with Inverell hosting the Tingha Tigers in the big one of the day
