The stop start end to the AFL Northwest season for the Inverell Saints continues this weekend with the round 15 bye.

The penultimate round sees the all Tamworth affair at No 1 oval between the Swans and the Kangaroos while the Gunnedah Bulldogs head to Armidale to front the New England Nomads.

The results from the last two rounds will determine the minor premiership in both the Men’s and Women’s competitions with the Inverell Saints in contention of hosting this year’s AFL Northwest major semi-finals next month.

Meantime it’s the Major semi finals in Central North Rugby Union competition with Gunnedah Red Devils hosting Moree Weebolla Bulls.

The winner to get hosting rights for this year’s grand final in a fortnight.

In Second grade, Moree faces the Quirindi Lions while Narrabri plays Pirates in Women’s 10s
