The Inverell Saints will head to Armidale tomorrow to tackle the New England Nomads in Round 13 of the AFL Northwest competition hoping to get some match fitness after being snowed out last week.
Saints Men’s coach Matt Harrison says despite the Nomads struggling for form this year, he knows they always save something special for the Saints and will be dangerous on their home ground.
Meantime the Saints Women will be hoping to get back on the winners list after dropping their first game of the season a fortnight ago to rivals the Gunnedah Poochettes.
Saints Women’s coach Georgia Chappell says they’ll need to build momentum heading into finals and try to retain top spot on the ladder for the opportunity of hosting the major semi-final at Varley Oval next month.
The other match between the Gunnedah Bulldogs and the Tamworth Swans has been transferred to Tamworth after considerable flooding hit Gunnedah during the week.
