The Inverell Highlanders have been outclassed by competition leaders Gunnedah Red Devils 47-22 in Round 11 action in the Central North Rugby competition in front of a big crowd for Ladies Day.
A first half hattrick of tries from Sak Koroi and a halftime lead wasn’t enough for the Highlanders as the Red Devils piled on 7 tries to run away with the game.
Coach Gemma Noller says a try just before the break gave the visitors the momentum which they took into the second half, dominating possession and ultimately the score board.
She says the Highlanders fitness told at the end as the Red Devils took command of the game.
In the other 1st grade match played Moree Weebolla Bulls held onto to defeat the Quirindi Lions 27-19.
