Inverell Highlanders have again gone down in a close match, this time to the Quirindi Lions 29-21 on Saturday in Round 10 action in the Central North Rugby competition.
Highlanders coach Gemma Noller says they trailed 22-21 with 10 minutes left in the game and had chances to score but let themselves down with poor execution.
Noller says they travelled light on players, but she couldn’t fault their effort.
In the other 1st grade match, Moree Bulls downed Pirates in Tamworth 18-5.
