The Australian Deaf Rugby Team have wrapped up their tour of South Africa going down in the final of the International 10’s tournament 33-17 to England on Friday.
The team, coached by former Inverell Highlanders Captain Coach Dave Kearsey, had gone through undefeated but couldn’t muster another big effort in the final.
Kearsey says despite going down to England, the boys should be extremely proud of their efforts adding they were down on numbers with almost every player playing though injuries, with the coach also strapping on the boots
He says it’s been an incredible week for the boys, who have now earned some well-earned rest.
