Scholarship applications are now open for the Dr William Hunter Scholarship and Healthy Communities Scholarship, available to students within the Moree and Gwydir region who are pursuing a career in health.
The Scholarships each offer $10,000 to support students from Moree, Warialda, Bingara and Collarenebri who are studying medicine, nursing or allied health to assist with financial support over two years to assist with costs such as rent, books and any university expenses.
Eligible students can complete one application to be considered for both scholarships.
Applicants must:
– Be an Australian citizen living within the regions of Moree, Warialda, Bingara or Collarenebri
– Be in their second year or above of an undergraduate medical, allied health or nursing degree at an Australian university
– Not currently hold another scholarship
– Complete two rural placements, including one in Moree, Bingara, Warialda or Collarenebri
