The countdown is on for the 65th edition of the Squadron Energy Grafton to Inverell Cycle Classic on Saturday March 14th.
This year’s event is again part of the ProVelo Super League, an annual cycling league hosted across Australia with teams and athletes competing in a points format over six events.
Zak Sunderland from the Inverell Cycle Club sats there’ll be 3 categories on Saturday including the ProVelo Super League Men’s 229 km race, Women’s 110 km race from Mt Mitchell as well as an Open category followed on Sunday by the Criterium races at the Lake Inverell precinct
Regarded as Australia’s toughest one day cycling race and boasting a list of winners and participants who have Olympic Games and Tour de France success, Mr Sunderland says the next generation of cyclists will use the race and the series to advance their careers.
