Inverell F.C are celebrating two premierships in the Armidale competition after their 3rd and 4th grade teams defeated the Glen Innes Highlanders on Saturday in Grand finals played at the Inverell Sports Complex.
The 3rd grade team won their premiership the hard way, winning a penalty shoot out after teams couldn’t be separated after regular and extra time.
The 4th grade team had it a little easier and confirmed their dominance with a 4-nil win over the Highlanders.
Meantime, Inverell F.C 2nd grade Northern Inland Premier League team have advanced to this Saturday’s Grand Final after coming from behind to defeat Moore Creek 5-2 in Tamworth.
The team were down early 2-1 before rallying to edge out Moore Creek and book a spot in the Grand Final against Oxley Vale Attunga.
Inverell F.C will have both their 1st and 2nd Grade teams featuring in Grand Finals in Inverell this Saturday
