The Tingha Community has been requesting the upgrading of facilities within the town.

Council has listened and is preparing a Master Plan for the Tingha township.

Phase 1 is the proposed upgrade of the park on New Valley Rd, opposite the Tingha Sport & Recreation Club, where the skate park is located.

Part of that upgrade proposes removing the playground equipment from Grahame Park and relocating the equipment to the new precinct. The BBQ and sheltered areas will remain.

Grahame Park is located on a flood plain and is not conducive to recreation. The most appropriate course of action in to relocate the playground equipment to a more suitable location and have Grahame Park maintained as passive parkland.

To ensure Councilโ€™s plans meet the communityโ€™s needs and expectations, Council is engaging with the community for comment and feedback. Council has developed a short survey to provide the opportunity for the Tingha Community to have a say during the design phase of the proposed project.

The survey will be open until the 31st of July to give a suitable timeframe to allow all members of the community the opportunity to have their opinions heard.

Please complete the survey by using the link below;

Hard copies of the survey are also available at the Red Rose Cafรฉ in Ruby St.

If you require any further information, please contact Councilโ€™s Civil and Environmental Services Division on 6728 8200.
